- Verification Information (Drivers only): To maintain platform safety, we may request vehicle registration details, license plate numbers, and driver's license details.
- Communication Data: When you use our in-app chat features to coordinate with other users, we store those messages to facilitate the ride.
B. Information Collected Automatically
- Location Data (Riders and Drivers): We collect precise location data to coordinate pickups, route progression, and dynamic fare calculations. More details are provided below under Section 2.
- Device Data: We collect details about the mobile device you use, including device model, operating system, and unique device identifiers (such as Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens).
2. Location Access and Background Tracking
Background & Foreground Location Tracking: 4eRide requires precise location tracking to work effectively. We collect location data from the moment an active ride starts until it is marked as completed or canceled.
We track location in the foreground to show real-time routes to drivers and passengers, and in the background to ensure journey monitoring continues even if you lock your phone or switch applications. Background location tracking is strictly capped to the lifecycle of an active ride.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data to enable ridesharing, calculate fares, process cancellations, verify user identities, and offer customer support.
